Uncomfortable Dialogues
Short film screening part of Spot On! The Show at Heimathafen Neukölln, Berlin
November 16th, 18:30 UHR
Supported as a Tier 1 partnership in 2024 - 2025, Uncomfortable Dialogues is a project by Miss Lulu Creates from the UK and MINCE e.V., based in Germany.
Through their partnership, they collaborated to bring together two talented dancers, Sarhaly and Chaq, to engage in meaningful conversations about the Black marginalized experience through dance and storytelling. Through candid discussions, they explored this topic through the lens of their dance styles, their cultural backgrounds and more - identifying intersections and differences in their experiences.
The aim of "Uncomfortable Dialogues" was not creating art under pressure but about fostering genuine engagement, which both dancers deeply appreciated.
Curious to hear more of their perspectives? The partners have produced a short film exploring why projects like these are so valuable. The film will be screened at a public event in Berlin on 16th November 2024 and available to view online following the live event.
